Transport & Parking

Separate disabled parking area located outside entrance. Slight drawback is that parking in a on gravel surface which may hinder access.

Access

Outside: Outdoor activity area predominately laid with astro turf, and according to staff that they have not encountered any problems for wheelchair users.G ravelled areas, with wooden paths on entry and throughout to facilitate ease of access to dome, cafe, toilets etc. Two steps into main tower with spiral staircase to access slide. Inside dome: Visitors with limited mobility can bring their own slings to access internal climbing wall and top of dome, using harnesses provided (full body or chest) and an anchored pulley system and hoist. More able visitors can arrange for additional support from staff to access the high ropes and low ropes within the dome using additional equipment provided.

Toilets

One spacious, clean disabled toilet to the far right of the site. Equipped with grab rails, emergency red cord, lowered sink etc. Only minor criticism is a slight raised lip on door frame which may be tricky for wheelchair users.

Staff

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to help. Leanne was passionate and enthusiastic about making Let Loose! as accessible and inclusive as possible, which is well evidenced by ensuring all staff had completed CPD training in 'climbing access for all'.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Let Loose! opened in March 2018, and it is evident that the team have worked tirelessly to make the facilities as user friendly as possible. Hosting autism friendly visits, and running sessions tailored for disabled persons. The enthusiasm of the staff is infectious! I can't wait to have a go myself.
