Good
Met a friend for brunch. They were helpful & friendly, despite being busy. Staff were happy for me to have a table other than the one they'd set and were always ahead of me perming the doors for the toilet before being asked.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Access is level through wide doors. Only drawback is that they are manual. They were open when I arrived but I needed someone to open them as I left.
Parking & Transport
Good
Cafe is on a pedestrianised area. Nearest road is New St, probably only a couple of hundred meters away (I'm not good with distance or may be less!) Plenty of double yellow parking or there is New Street car park off you don't have a blue badge. Cafe is at the back of Waverley Station ( exit to Market St and go left), so not far for trains, buses or taxis.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
A very roomy toilet and it wasn't being used as a storage room! Well placed grab bars and effective hand dryer by the hand basin, rather than across the room. Basin was normal size as well, not one of these mini numbers. Only draw back was that the toilet was accessed through a manual pull door & the toilet door was also a manual pull door. However both times I used it, staff were ahead of me and opened doors before I had even asked.
Staff
Excellent
Staff were friendly and helpful. I've deducted half a star because the waiter who brought our bill presumed that my friend was paying! Whether because I'm female, or because I was in a wheelchair, I don't know.
Additional Information
Cafe is modern and spacious but it has wooden floors and not much in the way of soft furnishings, so it is loud. I asked for a table away from the crowds to make it easier to hear my friend.
