I had an appointment for bloods recently and was asked if I could visit this practice instead. Less than a minute after walking through the door, I encountered a barrier that left me feeling frustrated
Disabled Access In and Around
There are ramps with rails and landings leading down from the car park and up to the entrance. Automatic doors at the entrance make access easy. However, I couldn't even get to the reception desk due to the abundance of chairs and thoughtless layout. I had to call my details across the room, which is frankly stupid. I made sure to say something, but nothing had changed by the time I left my appointment.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance
Parking & Transport
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There are 8 accessible parking spaces with hatched markings on either side. As the surgery shares grounds with Tesco, there are extra spaces there and EV facilities.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking

I didn't use the loo this time, but I remember thinking it'd be a struggle for a powerchair user, due to how small the space is.
Facilities: Accessible toilet
Staff
My nurse was fantastic, but the reception staff were notified of the barrier I've mentioned and didn't take steps to change it in the 30 mins I was away.
