Overview

I was really excited to be getting away even if it was only 4 nights and I had to wait until September and missed all the glorious weather! Hey ho. I was determined to wring every bit of enjoyment I could. Poor parking on grass rather than hard standing with vans positioned far too close together as well as at angles to each other so as to maximise the number of them they can get onto site rather than to provide suitable user experience. Steps up to the static van that we were allocated on arrival were very steep and without any kind of a hand rail. I did ask prior to going if we could have a suitable van allocated before our arrival but this was denied, it was only possible in the order q client arrived with no booking in before 3pm (reception closed at 4pm) Inside, the sofa was broken and kept collapsing at the front . Since this was only discovered after 4pm we had to wait to get help until reception opened next day to have a repair carried out making it a difficult first evening. In the bathroom there were no hand holding points or rails at the toilet or in the shower cubicle, nor did it have a non slip floor. Bear in mind this is a standard van and was not a disabled friendly van as I’d requested to be pre-allocated., Calling the reception either at this or the sister park about 1 mile along the road in order to get help, information about site facilities or directions to find them was all a bit hit and miss on who you got as to the correctness of the information or whether the person could be bothered to talk to you at all. I got the feeling one one call (or three made in all) it was all very much an effort and that was guilty of disturbing their peace. We got longed for and aleagerly anticipated fish and chips from the sister site on the second night. Oh lord… the food was utterly inedible . I returned it to their reception the following morning with a warning about poisoning their guests. We were not given or offered a refund or apology For a disabled person this holiday Parc which is located on the beautiful mid Wales coast alongside many other holiday parks in adjacent fields. Close by is Barmouth, Porthmadog and Portmeirion among the other attractions of Snowdonia. Sadly it is not one I would recommend though this part of Wales offers stunning scenery.

Transport & Parking

I drove to Wales in my adapted motability vehilce. Parking as mentioned on site was next to the van itself but was very tight for space. My passenger had to alight as I parked otherwise we could not both get out. It was wet and boggy (well, it was Wales in September) and not hard standing which would have been safer.

Access

There was none provided to me despite a request for a van set up for disabled access to suit my needs.

Toilets

No accessible toilet - just a standard toilet with no grab rails.,

Staff

Unwelcoming and not particularly engaged.
