Excellent
MacGochans is a pub and restaurant at the Distillery end of Tobermory's colourful harbour. It is open daily. The pub is very welcoming and accessible and serves delicious food. Highly recommend.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
In front of the building is a large, step free, patio patio area with free standing tables and chairs. The entrance has a wide, single, manual door. The ground floor of the restaurant is step free with free standing tables and chairs. There are stairs to the upper floor and balcony.
Parking & Transport

There is a bus stop almost directly outside of the pub, which serves the local area.
Accessible Toilets

There is an accessible toilet. It is a quite large cubicle with plenty of grab rails and an emergency cord that reached towards the floor. The toilet was clean and tidy. Although a bin was next to the toilet and right in front of the hand dryer which may make it difficult for wheelchair users to manoeuvre. I loved the wheelchair user logo on the door.
Staff

Staff were really amazing and ultra attentive and helpful. Before I visited I emailed them to ask if I could reserve a table, even though it stated on the website that it was not required for small groups. I got an email back very quickly, saying they had reserved me a ground floor table. On the day I arrived, they were expecting me. I was shown to a table. Throughout the evening the service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The day after I visited, I realised I had lost my Kindle. I wrote to the pub and they wrote back quickly that they had not found it. (By the way, it turned up at my guest house).
Additional Information
I had a lovely time here. The food was wonderful. It had something on the menu for every one. Prices are reasonable. I started off with a wild mushroom bruschetta, then a lentil and butter bean hotpot and finished off with limoncello tiramisu (OMG it was amazing, can't believe I've never had this before). Everything was just perfect and would very happily visit again. Thank you to the staff for really putting themselves out to help.
