On our tour of the Hebrides, we quickly realised that most places close on a Sunday. We ended up making a frantic trip to a rather manic Co-op to panic-buy some supplies. Had I known about this supermarket, I probably wouldn't have bothered. Operating since 1902, this family-owned supermarket, which remains in the same family's ownership to this day, serves Benbecula and the surrounding area, and it does so very well.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
With step-free access throughout, the store is easy to navigate whether you use a walking stick, wheelchair, powered wheelchair or mobility scooter. The aisles are wide enough for most people to move around comfortably, which is a stark contrast to the aforementioned Co-op. There are no lowered counters or hearing loops, and no alternative formats are available.

There are plenty of spaces in the car park, including two accessible parking spaces with clear hatched markings on either side. There are no EV charging bays.

The staff were welcoming, kind and helpful throughout our visit.
Additional Information
This store is very well stocked, with a wider range than you might expect from an independent supermarket. It's well worth a visit if you need to stock up on supplies.
