Overview
Lovely Malvern hills lies in beautiful hilly surroundings, (photo 1) and here you will find the popular Malvern Hills hotel, with its own private car park with ample parking bays, (photo 2), there’s a bit of a slope towards the ramp taking you into the hotel (3) with an easy level entry (4). There is a small reception desk (5) but staff not interested at all, pre-occupied, and a small but comfortable seating area. (6). Stairs lead up to bedrooms, (7) but we did not see a lift, and along here lie the public toilets, with its own little disabled toilet along a corridor on the level (8) but it’s very basic with grab rails and pull cord (9). Your wheelchair may just turn around inside, but it’s tight. The bar and lounge and outside terrace area serve a typical good pub menu, with a fair selection of drinks, and always quiet busy, because of its setting on the hills. It’s a small hotel, and perhaps not one we could recommend for disabled to stay, but ideal for a short break as you tour around.
Transport & Parking
Although many bays, no disabled though, it’s a bit narrow for easy parking, and on a sideways slope.
Access
Leading into hotel is a ramp, then it’s nice and level downstairs, but stairs to reach bedrooms, we did not see a lift.
Toilets
The disabled toilet lies along a level corridor, but it’s a bit tight in there, you may just about spin your chair and carer would struggle to help you in there. But it does have grab rails and pull cord.
Staff
To busy to be helpful, reception staff not at all interested, and waitress staff also quiet busy on our visit, so it’s disappointing.
