Market Square is a large open square at the end of Channel Street as you head towards the Pavilion Cinema. With sculptures, engravings and places to sit it was a peaceful spot for a rest.

Wheeling around town, Market Square was the first area where we encountered a few problems. Crossing Channel Street to go into the 'entrance' to the Square the kerbs on the narrow section of the road were a bit high for my manual chair. Leaving the Square I also found the cobbled side alleys to be very difficult to cross as I headed toward the War Memorial.
