A skip and a jump from Piccadilly Gardens, you'll find the Market Street Metrolink. Helpfully located near the main shopping area, at the bottom of which you'll find the colossal Arndale Shopping Centre.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
You can access the platform from either side using ramps or stairs, and there are yellow grab rails if you need a little extra support. The platform edge has tactile markings, and there’s a large wheelchair user symbol highlighting the accessible boarding area. The signage is minimal but it is appropriate to the location. I didn’t see any alternative formats but there are induction loops available on the tram. You’ll find rows of metal seats on the platform and some leaning seats in the shelters. Both the ticket machine and the tap-in/tap-out terminals are easy to reach from a seated position. Just remember to tap in when you leave and tap out when you arrive to avoid charges. If you don’t tap out, it’ll cost you £4.80.
Parking & Transport
Good
I didn't see any local parking facilities. The stop is located near a mostly pedestrian area, but you'll find a bus stop on the other side of Piccadilly Gardens.
