This facility is located at the Toddington service station car park. There are public facilities and food options available nearby in the service station. We used a Gridserve device at this location.
Disabled Access In and Around
The charging spaces are not designated or marked for disabled drivers, and the layout is not wide enough to be PAS 1899 compliant. Clearer line markings and better lighting are needed (there are overhead lights present, though our visit took place during the daytime). Nearby protective bollards do not block access to the chargers. However, the payment screen and terminal are positioned poorly; users have to squat down to read the screen, making it difficult to operate.
Parking & Transport
There are 10 Gridserve bays at this location. The chargers are high-power units, though the exact charging speed was not obvious to us. Four of the EV bays were in use during the stop, and other drivers we met en route noted that a couple of the chargers were not working. The charging session started at 77% battery capacity and reached 98% over 37 minutes, at a total cost of £4.80. The payment system supports app, card and QR code options, and the interface offers multiple language selections, including English, German and Dutch. The station has good cable management to avoid trip hazards, the connector handle weighs 3.67 kg and was very easy to remove and replace.

Additional Information
While there is no dedicated help point on site, a support phone number is clearly provided on the charging unit for assistance. The bay felt tight even without a wheelchair and was very close to the motorway, if you have children who may run off or didn't like the loud noise it wasn't the ideal spot. Two women with disabilities also tried to charge at a bay adjacent to us, but were struggling with payment.
