CHANGING PLACES TOILET The door to the Changing Places toilet requires a RADAR key and opens outwards. Inside, there’s a height-adjustable changing bed and a ceiling track hoist. The sink is also height adjustable, with a large basin, long lever-style tap, mirror, and contrasting grab rails on either side. The toilet seat and grab rails contrast well against the wall. There’s space for both left-side and right-side transfers, although the left-side space is partly taken up by a bin and the right-side by a privacy screen. The red emergency cord hangs to the left when seated and reaches the floor. A small colostomy shelf is installed on the wall to the left. ACCESSIBLE TOILET The accessible toilet also requires a RADAR key and opens outwards. The room is compact but has enough space for a wheelchair or powerchair user and one additional person if needed. The toilet is left-side transfer only. There’s a waste bin on this side, but it doesn’t prevent a safe transfer. The grab rails and toilet seat are dark blue, offering good colour contrast. The sink has a small basin with a lever-style tap, mirror, and grab rails on either side. The red emergency cord hangs to the right when seated on the toilet and reaches the floor. Sadly the emergency red cord was tied up to the grab rail, so would not be useful if you fell to floor. I untied it and hung a red cord card, I hope this doesn't happen again (had to downgrade my rating to "good", would have been "excellent" otherwise)
