Overview
We drove into the Malvern Hills, ( photo 1) and arrived at Mount Pleasant hotel, Great Malvern (photo 2). No disabled parking bays, but plenty of spaces though, but a tight squeeze to get in and out of car, and this car park is on a slope. Steep narrow path to hotel entrance (3). Once inside, there are 4 steps up into reception (4) and very narrow everywhere. Stairs up to bedrooms, we could not find a lift (5). To get to restaurant you have to go back out into car park (6) down a very steep slope to get onto pavement, and this is uneven, cobbled, very narrow and very difficult to push wheelchair (7). To get into restaurant door there is another small step (8). An attractive cafe like bar and restaurant (9) and we enjoyed a nice hot cup of coffee (10). Our overall view of hotel… a small old homely hotel, but very unsuitable for disabled and to many steps involved, so we cannot recommend this hotel.
Transport & Parking
Very few spaces on private hotel car park, all other parking is on the streets. It’s situated on a slope, with narrow bays.
Access
Although a private car park close to entrance, it has too steep an approach to hotel entrance, and to many steps throughout the hotel. We did not find a lift.
Toilets
We could not find toilets on the levels we viewed.
Staff
Restaurant manager was very friendly and willing, training a young waitress.
