Excellent
The car ferry connects Lochaline with Fishnish on the Isle of Mull is accessible. The journey time is about 15 minutes. Passengers have a step free indoor seating area on the car deck level or can take the stairs up to the open air viewing platform.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The minibus drove onto the boat and we were then allowed to get out. There was a step free, ground floor indoor seating area with a single size, manual door at each ends. There is a passageway from one end of the seating area to the other. There are pairs of fixed seats with back support and no arms. The outside upper deck can only be reach by a staircase. I therefore did not go there.

We travelled by minibus. I have no idea about public transport options. While we were waiting to board the ferry were were on the road in the queue.
Accessible Toilets
Good
The accessible toilet is inside the seating area on the car deck level. It has a manual door. It has a long rectangular shape, and maybe tight for powerchair users to turn. There are two grab rails on one side of the toilet, a vertical and a horizontal one, but no grab rail on the opposite side. There is an emergency cord near the entrance to the toilet. There are no grabrails round the sink area. A large nappies bin was partially blocking access to the dryer and making manouvering tight for wheelchair users.
Staff
Excellent
I had no direct contact with the staff. However, they were very efficient in operating the ferry.
Additional Information
A very quick and pleasant journey. The disabled access facilities were good, and the facilities on board the boat are much better than at the ferry terminals on each side, as they have no accessible toilet.
