This is really for the bank, not just the Hereford branch, though perhaps some branches are more aware than others. They’ve recently brought in a new system, so once they realise you have a disability they ask if they can ask you a few questions which get stored and will flag whenever you contact them, face to face, or on the phone. For example, they know I can’t stand for long periods of time, they know I can be unsteady on my feet (so any meetings will ALWAYS be downstairs), they know I have cognitive issues so they will always summarise anything we talk about to ensure I’ve at least got the main points, and I have APD (Auditory Processing Dysfunction) so they will speak clearly and slower. There were other questions I can’t remember too (for other disabilities) having just walked away from my GPs unable to make an appointment because they can’t cope with disabled people (my husband, at least, finally got to see how I was treated) I wanted to cry for the care I was shown. At the later meeting I had, all these things were put into practice.

It’s all on the flat, and relatively open, blind people might have issues with the island? I don’t think they have sandwich boards outside anymore though.
Parking & Transport
0If you know Hereford, you know it’s the usual park in one of the car parks - it’s on Commercial Street, so in the pedestrian (well, from 9-16:30) area. I’m still able to cycle - it’s less painful than other options.
Accessible Toilets

None that I know of, but it’s a bank.
Staff
Excellent
All great, very professional, open and approachable. They spoke clearly and without jargon.
