Venue Description

We are an arts and community centre based in a 19th century Courthouse in Otley town centre run by 130 local volunteers and a small staff team. Opened in 2004, we build on our success year on year - hosting a diverse programme of events including music, theatre, talks, film screenings and comedy, alongside a busy room hire calendar of workshops & classes throughout the week. There are 8 tenanted studios and a Maker Space.

Accessibility

We have a level entrance to our building, the main auditorium (Courtroom) and Robing Room are on ground level, the cafe can be accessed by a ramp. You can reach the first floor via a lift. There are disabled toilets on both floors. There is a hearing loop in place. We welcome guidance and assistance dogs. If you require a carer to accompany you to events, please phone to book your tickets, you will receive 1 free carer ticket.

Toilets

All our toilets have level access. The door is wide enough for motorised wheelchairs. There are easy turn locks, grab rails and emergency help in place.

Staff

Our staff and volunteers have had 'dementia friendly' training. Our Centre Director has basic BSL knowledge.
