A beautiful moated manor house ( currently being renovated in places) with lovely grounds and woodland walks

Transport & Parking

There is limited disabled car parking on a compacted surface suitable for wheelchairs and scooters. Its only a few metres from the entrance .

Access

Most of the gardens and some of the woodland are accessible and they will provide you with a laminated map on arrival to show you if there are any areas that you cannot access. The café is accessible by wheelchair but not really by scooter as the entrance is narrow and there is not much space inside. To combat this there is a secondary café in the car park which has outside seating and is accessible. The house is not really accessible at all at the moment and I think it will be very limited when the renovations have finished. There is a virtual tour you can do instead .

Toilets

There are toilets but I didn't use them so cant comment.

Staff

The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and knowledgeable. There are garden tours I believe too.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

This is a lovely half day outing if you are interested in gardens. The woodlands are mostly accessible and it was nice to be able to wander through them.
