I went to the station specifically for this review. Accessed via Causeyside Street or Cycle Route 7, Paisley Canal is a small, unstaffed, single-line station for journeys to and from Glasgow Central Station. Despite the name, there's no Canal local to the station, so you can leave your swimsuit at home.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The station is accessible by a declining ramp, with more twists and turns than an M. Night Shyamalan film. There are 28 steps down to the station with a handrail. As the station is unstaffed, Scotrail suggests that passengers who require assistance call their access line at least 2 hours before travel. Paisley Gilmour Street Station may be better for those in a rush, as each platform has trained staff and access ramps. There is an induction loop, a passenger information speaker (activated by a button push) and a ticket machine but there are no local telephones. I've rated the station high for access, though accessing the train is a different matter.

There is no dedicated parking at the station, though there are some spaces and single yellow lines on nearby Causeyside Street. Several McGills bus services stop outside the station. At the time of writing the services are: 51/51A, 26/26A, 10, 66 and 166.

Additional Information
Short of the station being staffed, which is unlikely due to the size and location of the station, there are no improvements to suggest. The station is convenient to those who live locally, but the main station, Paisley Gilmour Street is better suited to most, and closer to the town centre.
