- Good disability access to enter and exit the site. There are great ramps suitable for wheelchairs and mobility aids. The entire centre is on a flat surface besides entrances and there’s quite a wide floor space to move around the centre. Occasionally, some displays may have less space to manoeuvre a wheelchair but we have used a wheelchair around the site on a number of occasions with very little and rare difficulty and I’ve still had a very enjoyable experience E.g. The Works and some Christmas displays. - The car park is vast with so many spaces, it’s never full - near the entrance and in the overflow car park around the side. The disabled parking spaces are near the entrance. The parking is free, accessible and has good size bays. - All tables in the restaurant are suitable for most wheelchairs. - There is 1 disabled toilet at the centre. It is located a little way from the entrance, next door to the cafe, next door to the ladies toilets. It isn’t the largest I have seen but I have managed to get my manual wheelchair in fairly easily but anything larger might be more of a struggle but I’m not 100% sure on this one. As another reviewer mentioned, I agree that the disabled and the baby change should have been the other way around to make it more accessible. The ladies toilets are nice and clean, tend to be quiet. They have good hand drying facilities, but my only concern is only having hot water to wash your hands, which can be a struggle sometimes. - Staff are friendly and the till staff are helpful. The staff in The Works are really kind and patient. - The garden centre excluding Christmas and maybe the cafe, seems a very calm, fairly quiet environment. I find it generally Autism friendly and I do like to visit. It has quite a vast range of products and can seem a bit overwhelming but it’s broken down into zones and it’s well organised which does help. I love the products of The Works so am really pleased that they have that franchise. It’s one of my favourite parts to look forward to!!
