Overall Rating
Good
They have 3 disabled car park spaces. Gentle ramp into Reception. Friendly staff on arrival. 2 lifts of a decent size. Stayed in room 111, which has a walk in shower, with seat. Large room. Slightly awkward to get to. There is a door right in front of you as you get out of the lift, then sharp left turn, then a straight stretch of corridor, before a sharp right turn, a bit more corridor, sharp left turn, and then the bedroom door is right on a sharp left turn again. I did it on my scooter with no real issue. I didn't meet anybody coming the other way though, but the corridor isn't wide enough for a scooter and a person coming the other way. That apart, a very good venue, and we would definitely stay there again.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Corridor to room 111 is quite tight in places, but manageable in a disabled persons scooter (as long as nobody is coming the other way !)
Parking & Transport
Excellent
3 clearly marked disabled parking spaces
Accessible Toilets
Good
The door on the disabled toilet in the restaurant is on the wrong way round for me. You have to go past the door, turn round in your wheelchair, and open the door. Otherwise, the door would open towards you. Access in the bedroom was excellent.
Staff
Excellent
The staff were very good. Helpful, welcoming, efficient. The take away evening meal wasn't perfect, so the person who took the order didn't seem to know they had run out of something. Other than that, no complaints.
Additional Information
We felt very safe there.
