Overview
The 2 doors into the reception area open automatically. All internal doors and the room door are manual and very heavy. I stayed in room 3, a wheelchair accessible room. The room was large with space on both sides of the bed for a wheelchair. There was a wetroom Breakfast was in the pub next door which has flat access. The serving counter for the cooked items and some of the pastries were too high for a wheelchair user or person of restricted height to reach but staff were available to assist.
Transport & Parking
I drove There are several dedicated blue badge spaces right outside the hotel with signs warning of fines if abused by non blue badge holder
Access
Flat access to the building with 2 doors both automatic. The reception desk is too high for use by a wheelchair user and has no lowered section All internal doors and the room door are manual and very heavy. The room is large with plenty of space around and to both sides of the bed There's an alarm cord next to the bed
Toilets
The room had a wetroom. The wetroom had a sliding door and was large enough to be able to manoeuvre my wheelchair in comfortably. There was a fixed and a pull down grab rail for the toilet and two grab rails in the shower area, an easy to operate shower and a sturdy and clean shower seat.
Staff
All staff were very friendly and approachable and willing to help
