Not so good for anyone on crutches or sticks
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid
Overview
Whilst Edinburgh City Centre is not bad for wheel chair users, it can be close to impossible to visit certain areas such as Prjnces Street, Rose Street and lately George Street for anyone else with mobility problems. The Council have been pedestrianising many areas and putting in cycle paths. This has involved taking away parking spaces and putting bus stops too far away for people who have to use walking aids such as sticks or crutches. The few parking spaces including those designated for folk with disabilities are always full. I recently visited Princes Street and couldnt get back to the car because it was too far away. My friend had to make an illegal move onto Princes Street to come and get me. I wont be going back.
Transport & Parking
On a side Street ad close as I could get to Princes Street. It took 20 minutes of driving to find it and it was too far for me to manage the walk.
