I am a carer or friend of a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, moving around and speaking or communicating.
Overall Rating
Excellent
Spacious room, automatic door, super wet room and pet friendly! A couple of little things which would make it 5 stars are, a longer hairdryer cord as some would struggle to use it so short and if they'd remove the rug under the bed as this slightly affected our ability to transfer (stand aid on wheels). Bed is quite high which was ok for my husband to slide board transfer but some might struggle if using slideboard. Overall brilliant though!
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Ramp access and automatic doors. Reception to your left as you go in, not behind a desk so accessible for all. Lifts to all floors but bar / restaurant level access on ground floor.
Parking & Transport
Good
There's a car park at the back of the hotel.
Accessible Toilets
Good
We only used the facilities in our room so can't comment on the disabled toilet on ground floor other than there was one... saw the signs.
Staff
Excellent
All staff we had contact with were friendly & helpful.
