Venue Description

A Grade II listed building, conceived by the renowned theatre architect Frank Matcham and opened in 1899, Richmond Theatre is one of the architectural gems of the Victorian era. The theatre welcomes a wide variety of shows within its yearly program, from contemporary dance and drama to musicals and concerts.

Accessibility

There is fully accessible, step free access in to and out of the auditorium at stalls level. There are no automated doors, however our Front of House staff will be able to assist with this where required.

Toilets

Toilet is fully accessible from the stalls level, is equipped with grab rails, and can accomodate manual wheelchairs, but not powered wheelchairs.

Staff

All of our staff are trained to offer the best possible customer service to our vistors and to be aware of the indiviual needs of our patrons. You may order drinks and snacks in the auditorium and they will be brought directly to your seat for you to enjoy and staff will be on hand if you require assistance.

Our Front of House staff are available to look after your assistance dog and are happy to exercise them during the performance at your request.

Other assistance dog facilities

Assistance dogs can either accompany their owner into the auditorium for the performance or our staff will gladly look after them in the foyer. We will offer water and also take them for toilet breaks if necessary.
