Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Access round the ruins is understandably not good for wheelchairs or sticks, but there is a good path which gives you lovely views over the ruins. More chairs in grounds would be useful. Access to visitor centre and café is very good.
Parking & Transport
Good
Good amount of parking space but can be tricky if it is a busy day
Accessible Toilets
Good
Disabled toilet is in the visitor centre not in the toilet block in the car park. Very clean.
Staff
Excellent
Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Additional Information
Did you know that if you need an assistant to help you get out and about English Heritage do a membership that allows you to take up to 2 companions in for free? Just contact their membership department and they will sort it out for you. That's a great bonus. The café here is fab with great views over the abbey and grounds and there is outdoor seating as well which is easily accessed. Dogs are allowed in the café (both indoors and out) so long as they don't go up to the serving counter.
