A visit to Brodgar rarely disappoints, whether it is your first or your umpteenth. I've now visited in driving rain, gale force winds, wall to wall sunshine - and soaring or plunging temperatures. Whoever decided to erect the 5,000yo stones at this particular location deserves a round of applause. Not only is it conveniently situated close to a passing lane that's not especially busy with traffic, and they thoughtfully made provision for two blue badge parking bays and an accessible path up to and around the outer circle! Well worth a visiting, but whilst access in a wheelchair is in theory possible, the ground is a little uneven with some chair users may struggle.
