Excellent
A visit to Ripon Cathedral. Had lunch in the town.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Access was great. One or two areas (eg the crypt) that understandably can’t be got to, but apart from that, it was great.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
I drove. I phoned up a few days before and parked right outside the cathedral. There was then level access inside.
Accessible Toilets
Bad
No accessible loos at the cathedral. Info on line was sadly lacking. But! A breakthrough came when I spotted a sign outside pointing to accessible toilets. These were in a little park, adjacent to the cathedral, by the Courthouse museum. They were accessed via a radar key and were not glam, but spotless and didn’t smell.
Staff
Excellent
The bishop of Ripon came and had a chat to us! The staff in the shop were also great.
