Overview
Brilliant access to this free museum (although it’s certainly worth a donation if you can) Parking was charged but lots of disabled spaces. Primarily run with volunteers there was at no point a time where assistance was not to hand or easily spotted by the smart red tops they wear. Every hanger was full of interesting sights and many interactive displays. The sheer size of each of the hangers housing a myriad of brilliantly restored historic planes, land based vehicles as well as international and British memorabilia were fully accessible- although our visit was on a Bank holiday it never felt like there was an overwhelming number of people. Every location had accessible toilets and lifts to move up and down when needed. Tables for food were also easy to place wheelchair without feeling you were in anyone’s way. Wheelchairs, scooters and walkers free to use on a first come service.
