    About

A spectacular nature reserve set on top of 400 feet high chalk cliffs where around half a million seabirds nest from March to October. We have puffins here (April-July) and we are home to the the biggest mainland gannet colony (the UK's largest seabird) in the country. The Seabird Centre houses information about the wildlife on the cliffs, a well-stocked shop, a food/drink counter, and toilets. A wide range of events and activities take place throughout the year - from photography workshops to toddler groups.

    Fabulous scenery

Beautiful scenery and there are designated cliff walks that are accessible with a tramper. We reserved a tramper the day before (free) and this made the Cliff walk’s much easier. Viewing platforms are wheelchair accessible.

    Lovely place to be

See photos. Good parking, good toilets, auto opening on visitor centre external doors, ramp to path to Cliffs, path compacted and smooth not loose gravel, viewing areas accessible, guides with binoculars and scopes on platforms very knowledgeable. Lovely cuppa and cake afterwards. Mobility scooters available to hire, phone to book first. I have seen wheelchair users enjoying this beautiful place.

    Nature reserve

It's a couple or so years since we last visited Bempton Cliffs but it still holds good memories of the experience. I understand that if visiting in a motorhome an advanced phone call is advisable to arrange parking. Once there facilities are great. We both have mobility issues, I use a shopper electric scooter There are well maintained easily accessed pathways to sevaral viewing platforms at which there are friendly RSPB staff to help and advise. The views and the variety of birds are fantastic, the platforms are strategically positioned for optimum access and view. It's well worth a visit. I don't recall if there were other aids on sight but others may advise about that
