Seafront Car Park in Largs is a well-placed spot if you are planning to spend some time by the water or hop on the ferry to the Isle of Cumbrae. The car park has 137 spaces, including five accessible parking bays. Please check the costs before parking, as there is no exemption for blue badge holders.

Disabled Access In and Around

Navigation throughout the car park is straightforward, with clear signage and road markings. Payment terminals are located throughout the car park. I found it easy to obtain a ticket from the machine and make payment while seated in my wheelchair. There are no alternative formats in use.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

The accessible parking spaces can be found on the left as you enter, either in front of the toilet block or along the promenade. Most have hatched markings on either side. One thing to note, however, is that motorcyclists are often gathered here in groups near the first set of bays. I tend to find they are considerate, but I have had to ask people to move on occasion to access my car. Alternative accessible parking spaces can be found on the street outside the car park, with parking free for blue badge holders, though it is a matter of luck whether you get one or not. There are no EV chargers at this car park.

Accessible Toilets

There is both an accessible toilet and a Changing Places toilet close to the car park, both of which require a RADAR key. I did not use these facilities myself, but the Changing Places toilet has been reviewed by other Euan’s Guide users.
