Overview
Free disabled parking at Kidderminster however the 2 spots out the front was full and the others are quite a walk. On arrival at ticket off the ticket chap wasn't there and took some time to appear and refused a discounted career ticket despite showing blue badge, they are linked up with nimbus. UPDATE: I did email them and advised them the carer ticket and they did apologise and offer free return tickets so hopefully for others there won't be confusion. The fares seemed reasonable enough though and cheaper for some others. Only two trains running today and it was a pleasant enough, we went to Highley, just be aware that you need to sit in the right spot as they run the trains longer than the platforms and we had to move twice. At highly too the train covers the level crossing so you'd need to wait or use the bridge, thankfully I'm OK with steps. A short enough walk to the engine shed although a bit hilly, all flat and lifts available in the engine shed. The restaurant in the engine shed didn't look appetising but it was quiet and I feel they are struggling to attract visitors (although no Steam due to the heatwaves. All in all not bad but if really struggle with mobility (and don't use a chair) it maybe a struggle (They perhaps cater a little better for a wheelchair) and if you don't have a "access" card don't bank on a carers fare.
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking a bit of a walk but it is a level walk and you can do it slowly.
Access
I can't fully remember but I felt there was steps, obviously its set in the era it is. I felt they demanded a fair bit of walking. I remember the walk to the ticket office from the car park was a pain (I note they recommend you drop off but that's not ideal when you are the driver).
Toilets
I don't remember seeing many but I could be wrong.
Staff
Train staff all friendly, People in the cafe at highly and in the shop in Kidderminster not talkative at all. Disappointed too by the confused staff at the ticket office.
