Overview

A great day out for the whole family - Shipley is a massive park and best of all you can hire their trampers to go around in - the cost is £5 for 2 hours or £20 for the year - the are available to hire at a number of sites throughout Derbyshire. If you are a wildlofe lover or a lover of open spaces I would definately recommend this for you

Transport & Parking

Lots of disabled parking spaces a short distance from the visitors centre. Disabled park for free

Access

The access to the Visitors centre is down a short hill - other than that the park is fairly flat. I would highly recommend using their tramper to get about around the park as it covers miles

Toilets

Was OK not the best disabled toilet, it was not very clean but very accessible. It was easy to access on the tramper.

Staff

THe staff member in the visitor centre was very helpful making sure we had maps and knew how the tramper worked. Around the park we did not come into contact with any members of staff

There is a cafe on site but it is not very accessible - but they do have tables outside which are much easier and better
