Overview

The restaurant is all at entry level (including the accessible loo).

Transport & Parking

I think the parking right outside is restricted, but taxi was able to drop me off with no problem.

Access

The door is on a corner with an alley and the pavement is helpfully sloped down to the road right there. The front door is pretty wide and opens inwards. Staff rushed to open both that and the second (also inward opening) door when they saw me coming. At first the tables looked tightly spaced, but staff immediately started moving the tables and chairs to create space for me. They asked me where I'd like to sit, giving me the choice of tables with separate chairs or at a booth. It was great to be given the choice.

The loo is easily accessed, and although staff rushed to help me with the doors, I would have managed on my own. Door easy to close and lock once in there. Plenty of room to manoeuvre. Grab rails - although the one beside/above the sink is a bit too close to the soap dispenser to be easily grabbable - not enough room to easily get your hand in the gap to grab the rail (I've been noticing this a lot recently). The hand dryer and paper towels are right beside the sink, hooray! One thing that tickled me was that there's a massive mirror on the side wall of the loo, and you have a very well lit view of your entire reflection when sitting on the throne.

Staff

Couldn't have been nicer. Very attentive to detail - any allergies? Anyone celebrating Ramadan? Did we know that the drinks are all non-alcoholic? We ordered cold meze to start and were still gobbling that down when the mains arrived, and I was impressed by the staff's sensible approach to fitting everything on the table - they took unnecessary crockery, glasses etc away instead of just trying to balance everything on the table (which seems to be what usually happens).

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The place seems spotless. Lots of glass and shiny black surfaces meant that I kind of felt like we were in an 80s sci fi film. These were our favourites: SEBZELI GÜVEÇ Chunks of potatoes, leeks, flat beans, courgettes and eggplants, slow cooked in a tomato and garlic gravy with Haydari (Yogurt and mint) TAVUK PIRZOLA Boneless chicken thigh infused with peppery yoghurt marinade This is an alcohol free restaurant (in Scotland!) and the drinks list is extensive. However I can report that alcohol-free wine has not yet reached the standard of alcohol-free beers and spirits!
