Overview

This venue often hosts community accessible (non-religious) events such as a monthly craft fair, childrens play groups and seasonal fairs such as christmas and summer fairs. As such it is a frequently attended place by me and I am glad of the accessibility of the building.

Transport & Parking

4

There are no specific disabled spaces and the actual car park for the church itself is fairly small and can also be used by those attending (John Whitehead) park across the road. However, if you can walk/move a little there are multiple car parks just through the park around the town centre with disabled spots and even disabled parking specific parking areas. The towns bus station/hub is also there with busses stopping from all over Billingham town and surrounding areas (Norton, Middlesborough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Peterlee).

Access

5

The corridors are all wide enough for a mobility aid user and another person to walk through at the same time, the two enterances both have double doors that can be opened for larger mobility aids and the one that technically steps up has a ramp permanently outdoors for everyone to use.

Toilets

4

The toilet had enough space to manoeuvre and have a carer present too. There were handles/rails and the red cord was allowed to touch the floor.

Staff

5

Staff were very friendly and offered to help me wherever needed.
