Overview
We went to the Serenitea Cafe held in the church on Tuesday mornings. We had a great welcome and lovely food. The whole village of Blackmore is full of quaint buildings and a lovely village green with duck pond. Idyllic, but most of the buildings are listed and beware there is no disabled toilet anywhere in the village. (We tried the pub and the tea rooms as well). A beautiful place for those who are ambulant.
Transport & Parking
There is a bus through the village but I don’t know how frequent they run. The church is at the end of a quiet lane with some parking but it gets busy on a Tuesday. We parked further up the lane and although there is no pavement it is a very quiet road.
Access
The church is nearly all on one level. There are two sets of double doors to get through but the outer doors were open and thankfully the volunteers are quick to open the inner doors. There is plenty of space to get around once inside the church.
Toilets
There is a very small toilet just as you go in between the doors to enter. This is on their wish list to improve.
Staff
The cafe is run by church volunteers and they are very friendly and welcoming and provide waiter service.
