Overview
This impressive Cathedral is in the centre of Brussels and is well worth a visit. As you approach from the park in front, the building towers above you. Inside is an interesting pulpit and beautiful stain glass windows. Level access is via the side entrance.
Transport & Parking
I arrived by foot/powerchair through the park in front of the cathedral. it is a very short walk from Grand Place. As with the rest of Brussels centre, the pavements are quite a challenge for a powerchair with cobbles and inch high 'dropped' curbs. There were disabled parking bays right next to the level access entrance.
Access
Follow the wheelchair signs to the side door on Pl. Stainte-Gudule and ring the bell. Staff will open this level access door for you. The main interior is level. The tower and crypt are open for those who can walk.
Toilets
none on site
