Interesting cathedral with fascinating (huge) carved wooden pulpit, and geometric stained glass windows. Step-free access to the church, but the tower is for able bodied step-climbers only. Great views of Mechelen from the top of the tower, and close-up views of the bells

Disabled Access In and Around

Cathedral is fully accessible, but access to the tower is only by hundred of steps.

There is a public carpark under the Groot Markt, but as we did not use it, we cannot say how accessible it is. There may be free street parking nearby. All street parking in Mechelen is free for Blue Badge holders We visited by mobility scooter from hotel
