Overall Rating
Good
We decided on a whim to make a loop of the loch. It is 5.6 km and while there are no steps, certain stages are quite hilly and I could not have managed alone. The cafe at the Watersports Centre was very good and had one of the best disabled toilets I’ve ever used!
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
Access from car park to the path around the loch was over mud which was thankfully frozen. Wide flat access was blocked by a gate and rocks, apparently to ensure no vehicles passed through. As I mentioned, going round the loch varied-some flat sections, some quite steep hilly parts too.
Parking & Transport
Average
Car park was rather uneven, frost and mud made it hard to see disabled bays but it was quiet so we parked easily.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
Outstanding-enormous and with a big changing platform if required. A hoist too. And even a mirror at the correct level for a wheelchair user!!!
Staff
Excellent
Additional Information
Will visit again as I understand there is an accessible boat to try when the ice melts 😊
