Overview
I was in the neighbourhood, and my friend checked ahead to make sure there was a wheelchair accessible toilet nearby; this Subway turned out to be the option! We popped in and bought a sandwich while we were there, which was pretty good.
Transport & Parking
The bus I took didn’t drop me very close, but other routes do stop nearby, so it’s worth checking ahead for the best one.
Access
Access was decent. There’s a glass door at the front that isn’t automatic, which could be difficult if you're on your own. I was with a friend who held the door open for me, so it worked out fine.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet here. It’s kept locked, but since we were ordering food, it didn’t feel awkward asking for the key. That said, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and I think they’d have let us use it even if we hadn’t bought anything. Still, something to be aware of. The toilet itself is a good size with enough space to position a wheelchair next to the loo for transferring. There’s a grab rail beside the toilet and more near the sink, and the red emergency cord was left free-hanging. It was clean, uncluttered, and overall pretty well thought out.
Staff
Staff were nice and helpful. We asked for the key to the toilet before ordering, and they were happy to assist. It was a good sign that they didn’t make it conditional on purchasing anything, though would've bought something anyway.
