Good
Lovely level access, dog friendly café outside of Perth. Food was tasty, but not a lot of small plate options.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
When entering the venue, the door has to be manually opened. I cannot open the door myself, my family, friend or carer opened the door for me, so I cannot comment on how heavy the door is, but I would suggest having a doorbell mechanism outside the door for disabled people on that visit on their own to alert staff that they need assistance to open the door. The entrance is level for access though and I can say in my powered wheelchair I was able to get through just one of the doors. Inside we were seated at the table just across from the entrance door, but from what I could see I would have been able to access a few of the tables within the venue. The tables were also at a good height for me sitting in my powered wheelchair.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance
Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
I am not from the area, but I don’t think there would be any public transport to this venue as it is in the middle of the countryside. In the car park there wasn’t a designated disabled parking space, but there was plenty of space to park my wheelchair accessible vehicle. On the day I visited it was pretty rainy and the ground was quite wet, although even on the gravelled ground within the car park I was able to drive on it in my powered wheelchair.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
Average
There is an accessible toilet in this venue and you have to go, I’d say more to the back of the café to get to it. It is easy enough to get past the tables though. The accessible toilet is spacious inside, allowing room for a disabled person to have assistance from someone. The toilet would only be able to be used if you were a left-hand transfer from your wheelchair because the toilet is up against the right-hand wall, see photo within the review for reference. I am not sure where the closest Changing Places toilet is, maybe in the centre of Perth.
Facilities: Accessible toilet
