Overview

Level throughout this is a lovely, easily accessible place to eat, drink and be merry :)

Transport & Parking

5

Nice, newly tarmac'd carpark includes two disabled carparking spaces right opposite the main entrance.

Access

5

The main entrance has a small concrete ramp allowing easy access to the pub. The outside seating area has a ramp onto the decking and the smoking area at the back also has double doors and a large level area with picnic tables. All very accessible.

Toilets

4.5

Disabled toilet is right at the end of the pub by the backdoor leading to the outdoor smoking area. When it is busy it can be difficult to negotiate a wheelchair through the pub to get to this loo. Expect to have to move several people out of your way! The toilet it's self is adequate. It's not the biggest toilet ever but it complies with legislation and is functional.

Staff

4.5

Staff are always very helpful and friendly.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Formerly known as the Viscount, the Flying Scotsman is nice, bright and well lit. Our party did not include anyone with a visual impairment but lighting and colour contrast seems to be very good. It's been recently done up so it is all one level and this gives a more light spacious feel. Lovely pub. Good entertainment at weekends and quiz night on a Monday. Awesome food at great prices. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Kids menu. Child friendly. TV's in the booths. Large screen TV showing football etc. Cannot recommend this place enough.
