Overview

Imperial Palace is a fantastic place to visit for any occasion. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively. Access is generally very good, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend it for great food and an accessible, welcoming dining experience!

Transport & Parking

4

Finding parking with a Blue Badge was fairly easy, though the restaurant doesn’t have its own dedicated parking. It might be trickier to find a spot during peak times. Drop kerbs aren't amazing on this street so if you're being dropped off, you may have to amble on the road for a bit to find one.

Access

4

Access was excellent overall. There’s a very small bump at the entrance, but it’s barely noticeable. The restaurant is spacious, open-plan, well-lit, and has a warm atmosphere. There are several doors (including double doors at the entrance and to the toilets), which could be a bit tricky if you’re alone — though with the large portion sizes, dining solo isn’t recommended anyway! Staff are very friendly and more than happy to help. Tables and chairs are a good height for wheelchair users and easily moveable. The team also asked about seating preferences, so we were able to choose a quieter corner — a thoughtful touch.

Toilets

4

The accessible toilet was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with grab rails. There was a free-hanging red cord card, which was reassuring. The space was large enough for a powerchair—while not overly spacious, it was manageable by entering and reversing out. The two sets of doors could be heavy and a bit tricky for some, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Staff

5

The staff were attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful. They checked in about seating preferences, had a solid understanding of the menu, and although the kitchen seemed busy, service was relatively quick.

Photos

A well-lit, clean accessible toilet with light blue grab rails beside the toilet and sink. A free-hanging red cord card is visible in the corner. A changing table is mounted on the left wall, while a paper towel dispenser, sink, and toilet are lined up on the right. A view of the restaurant's dining area, showing tables at a standard dining chair height. The restaurant entrance with two sets of doors—one propped open and one closed. There is ample space to pass through. A wider shot of the restaurant's main entrance, showing the illuminated "Imperial Palace" sign above the door. The flat street leading up to the entrance is also visible.
