Overview

The Kinema is very facilitating to disabled customers; this has been proven by the access in and out of the building, the disabled toilets, the designated seating area in the sceens and the wide set doors throughout the building.

Transport & Parking

There is no designated disabled parking, but the car park is a large open space right in front of the building and is also free. The car park has two small speed bumps tucked in on the side of the area, but apart from that the ground is all level.

Access

Getting in and out of the building causes no problems as the floor is all level including the car park. In screen 1 there are two assigned disabled seats which are located at the end of the middle row causing no problems with accessing these seats. The entrance into the screen is two doubled doors providing wide birth to fit in a large wheelchair. The doors are opened by two magnets sticking together thus dismissing any worries about trying to open the doors. In Kinema 2, due to the design of the cinema (rows are raised on platforms) disabled customers will have to sit in the front row.

Toilets

There are two disabled toilets in the building, both next to each other located next to the ladies toilets. Theses cubicles are very spacious and provide a horizontal, vertical and a folding grab rail on either side of the toilet. The sink isn’t too high making it easy access for disabled customers to reach. Both doors are sliding doors with a lock that you can engage by twisting the door handle.

Staff

Staff at the Kinema are very friendly and are happy to help with any enquiries or problems regarding access to the building.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

If you are travelling on a mobility scooter or wheelchair and will not need it during the film, the staff can keep your item in a safe storage area.
