This attractive wooden chalet, formerly the clubhouse for the old Royal Isle of Wight Golf Links, has been adapted for accompanied disabled visitors. Its verandah overlooks the Duver, a stretch of sand and shingle owned by the Trust, and much frequented by seabirds and other wildlife. The village of St. Helens, about a quarter of a mile away, has a shop and Post Office, pub and restaurant. Sleeps five (three bedrooms - 1 single and 2 twins)
The cottage has been assessed as accessible for occasional wheelchair users. The cottage is gently ramped at three different points and the open plan internal spaces give good circulation into the key rooms. A twin bed-room has a large accessible en-suite level-access shower-room. The shower tray has a shower-seat and grab rail. The WC has a drop down support rail and horizontal fixed support bar. An access statement is available.
