Noisy and odd layout but otherwise good hotel

On arrival the car park is free for Blue Badge holders (I think I just had to register my reg number at reception). The entrance is step free and an automatic door opens as you approach. The reception area is open and spacious. The 'Accessible Room' that I was allocated was directly opposite the reception desk, in the foyer of the hotel. This was very convenient... but... The room has zero soundproofing and literally every single word spoken in the reception area (right outside the bedroom door) at anytime of the day or night could be heard in detail. The room itself, for myself as a solo traveller, was spacious and had a good, clean bathroom with plenty of grab rails and red emergency pull cord. There was a huge amount of space on one side of the 'joined together' twin beds, however, if you were travelling with another person then there is literally only six inches of space between the bed and the wall. I am sure the staff would move the bed if required but that would put you at odds with the provision of plug sockets etc. Location is fantastic to access Canterbury with a good underpass just meters away from the hotel front door to get under the main road and into the city centre. Or, there is a good road crossing just 100m away.

access into the hotel is easy, step free and the reception area is spacious. The location has great accessible options for getting across the nearby main road and into the city centre and accessing the local attractions and restaurants etc

A private car park for hotel guests that normally costs but Blue Badge holders are exempt. Please check if you need to register your number plate at the hotel reception.

The accessible room that I had has a good wet room with plenty of grab rails and emergency red pull cord which was hanging correctly to the floor

Additional Information
If you stay here I would suggest requesting an alternative accessible room to the one directly opposite the reception desk, purely due to noise issue of being located 'in' the reception area.
