Overview

I Googled access on the Metro which informed me of level access at all stations. That is not true at both Sunderland Central and South Hylton. I see now that the Nexus Metro website states that assistance can be pre-booked giving 4 hours notice.

Transport & Parking

I travelled from Middlesbrough by Northern Rail to Sunderland which was good. On arrival the Metro to South Hylton departed from the adjacent platform.

There is a lift from platform to the street level.

Toilets

Staff

No staff were visible at Sunderland. On returning there from South Hylton the driver told me about pre-booķing a ramp - which level access implies is not necessary.
