Great accessible venue for live music and comedy

I love this venue so much! As an electric wheelchair user I get to skip the queue of people and go up the ramp to the box office to collect my tickets. Once you’re in by the box office you can (if it’s open) go straight through to the ticketing door. Sometimes they search your bags and put a green tag on anything medical you have with you, such as a feed pump. You then check in with the live access team, to the left as you go through the ticketing door, who give you a gold wristband. You then wait by the lift for someone to escort you up in the lift to the live access seating area. I’ve been to this venue many times throughout my life and the access and staff are always amazing! Getting out of the venue is a bit chaotic though because you have to cut diagonally through the crowd to get to the ramp. There’s a car park called Rapport, which is an NCP car park, with 2 disabled bays, with no height restrictions. Usually around £11 for 4 hours.

If you need to collect your tickets from the box office don’t join the queue of people waiting to go in. There’s a ramp further along with a security guard controlling who goes in through the ramp. There’s a button you press to open the door both internally and externally. Once you’re in, if you’ve booked directly through the live access scheme you can collect your tickets from the box office. There’s 2 lifts to the second floor but you have to be escorted by a live access team member to your seat. There’s a manual door into the balcony area is for the accessible seating but it’s a good view from the balcony. Getting out of the venue can be a bit chaotic as you have to cross diagonally through the crowd to get to the ramp.

There’s a NCP car park next to the venue, called Rapport. No height restrictions with 2 disabled bays. Usually around £11 for 4 hours if you pay at the machine.

There is an accessible toilet there but I’ve never needed to use it so can’t comment on it, unfortunately.

Excellent
Staff are always amazing at this venue. Alan, one of the live access team, who I’ve seen many times over the numerous times I’ve been there over my life is really kind and patient with me and knows how to treat people with disabilities.
