Interesting museum although didn't get a proper look.

Transport & Parking

We travelled from the town centre to Verdant works, around a 10/15 minute journey. Some of our group walked and some used a wheelchair and power chair. Difficult to access and curbs on pavements surrounding the location are quite high. Narrow roads, uneven pavements and cars parked on the side of the road made it difficult to get to the museum. The members of our group using a wheelchair or power chair often had to travel on the road. The journey to the museum would be easier via car and parking near the location.

Access

Unclear signs as to where to buy tickets. There is "tickets" written on the side of a flower bed when you enter the grounds, but no members of our group saw it. Our group initially went inside the museum without buying tickets as we did not realise and there was no staff at the entrance to advise us. Many cobblestones at entrance and before entering the main buildings of museum - difficult for wheelchair users. Small room with figurine to represent Night Watchmen - not accessible for wheelchair users. Small lift, could fit one wheelchair and one person standing. Main building appeared fine with some space.

No staff visible upon arrival. Friends in separate group arrived later and saw us via high walkway linking two buildings (accessible via wheelchair but not powerchair). This is when staff came out of cafe (left when entering) and asked us to come down from exhibition building as well had to pay. Staff were nice and polite and accepted our apology for misunderstanding.
