Overall Rating
Good
It's not often you happen upon a brewery where most beers are named after songs and lyrics from The Undertones, but this is such a place. Best described as a brewpub, Walled City Brewery offers a variety of drinks and local food, including seafood in a cool and trendy setting.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
You can access the brewery via the ramps on either side of the entrance. Each ramp has a single rail, positioned on your right or left, depending on which side you use. There are three steps to the entrance if you prefer that route. The steps have clearly marked edges, tactile paving at the top and bottom and rails on either side. Inside, it can get busy, but I had plenty of room to move around. I did struggle with the heavy door, but the staff were quick to help me access the building. There are no alternative formats in use.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
There is free customer parking at Ebrington Car Park, which is located on the left as you enter Ebrington Square from Limavady Road. There are also three accessible parking spaces with hatched markings just across the road, along with two drop-off spaces.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking, Drop-off or pick up point
Accessible Toilets
Average
The toilet is located in a dedicated toilet corridor and doesn't require a RADAR key to access. The room has some pretty jazzy wallpaper, but a few other aspects caught my eye. There is space for a left-side transfer to the toilet pan, but there is a bin in the transfer space, which isn't a good start. The toilet has white rails on either side, which contrast well against the blue wallpaper. There is no contrasting seat. The red emergency cord hangs into the transfer space and wasn't tied up. The flush is on the left when seated. The sink has a small basin and a lever-style tap. There are rails on either side, but no mirror above. The baby change is mounted on the wall to the right.
