Overview

Whitby's is a lovely old fashioned and yet contemporary fish restaurant opposite the racecourse in Doncaster. The disabled parking is at the rear and yet the entrance is at the front and there is no close drop off point. It's fine for wheelchair, power chair or scooter users but it's quite a distance for anyone using a Walking Aid even to get in the building due to the distance. Once inside it's fine and certainly worth a visit if you can get in the building. There is a fire exit at the front which wold be a lot nearer (and they did open it for us on the way out as no one was sitting at the nearby table) but you can't park outside it without blocking the entrance to the car park. I did ask why it was set up that way and was told it was a local authority ruling. If you can get one of the few spaces beside the Takeaway its a little nearer on foot, but still a fair distance.
