6 adults, 2 dogs and a 15 month old (1 x adult wheelchair user)
So this is first holiday for my step dad (wheelchair user) since he had a stroke. This is my first review so hopefully I cover the basics. Booking was very easy and I believe all the lodges are accessible. We had holly lodge as we were big group. The cottage has a ramp up to the front door and decking to sit on. Only annoying thing is the drive is gravel which I have learnt is nightmare and it’s wheelchair (and pushchair). Slight lip where door frame is so had to bump wheelchair over, my step dad couldn’t have done this on his own. Wide doors, 1 x wet room with plastic wheelchair thing and shower. Second bathroom has handles for toilet as well and ones either side of toilet (there are no hoists). No handles in main areas of the cottage nor outside. There is no hoist. The owners/managers were so helpful and gave lots of recommendations. You do need car to get to places as this is on Hill. There are lovely grounds, laundry room, games room and putting lawn but not easy to get around with wheelchair. I think you would manage with walking aid. I also think they help organise to rent any special bed needed and remove normal bed.
